Help w/ permissions to Add, Edit and Publish

Hi There,

I am having an issue with setting the permissions for the various types of user actions needed on the frontend.

I have a few different Joomla user groups setup and we need to have a registered user with the ability to edit, delete and publish new words.

In the Permissions section of the Options I selected the user group in question and enabled them to do everything required (Edit, Edit Own, Edit State, Create etc)

But on the front end the user is not able to publish or edit existing words...

The only way to make it work appears to be going to the global configuration settings > Permissions and giving edit and edit state access there.

The Group is a subset of Registered.

Any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated.

I was just testing this out with this account. I made a sub register user group and assigned this account to it. I am able to add and delete, but as you indicated not edit. And you pointed out the publishing issue on the other thread. It may take me some time to get it sorted out as I am nearing the end of a college semester and have exams to prepare for, however, in December I should have much time to fix it.

Thanks for pointing the issues out. They are on my to do list!
